Good dog behaviour in off-lead parks
At an off-leash park you can exercise your dog with other dogs – dogs can often make good friends with other animals.
A dog owner must:
- always keep your dog under voice control
- carry a lead with you
- put your dog back on a lead within 15 metres of a playground or barbecue area that is being used, unless it is fenced off
- clean up after your dog – use Council bins and bags to dispose of dog poo
- keep your dog out of a creek. Dogs can destroy natural habitat and the creek water is unfit to drink. Your dog/s may get sick.
